Do I need a credit card to start the free trial?

No. The 14-day student trial and the 14-day educator trial both start without a credit card. You will only be asked for payment details if you choose to continue.

How does the Classroom plan work for a school counselor?

The Classroom plan works for any educator or counselor managing a defined group of students. You create a class, invite students via a code or email, assign videos with optional quizzes and reflection prompts, set due dates, and review progress from a single dashboard. Most counselors set up their first class in under ten minutes.

What does "video quizzes with auto-grading" mean in practice?

You can attach a short multiple-choice or short-answer quiz to any video assignment. Students complete the quiz after watching. Responses are collected automatically and surfaced in your class report, so you can see comprehension at a glance without manual grading.

What integrations are included with a district license?

District licenses include Clever SSO for single sign-on and automatic roster sync, Google Classroom integration, Microsoft 365 and Teams integration, and LMS support for Canvas and Schoology. We also provide a REST API and MCP server endpoint so districts can connect Vitaes to internal tools, dashboards, and AI-assisted workflows.

What is the MCP server used for?

The MCP (Model Context Protocol) server lets district technology teams connect Vitaes data to AI tools and custom workflows. For example, a district could pull career exploration data into an AI-powered counseling assistant or feed engagement metrics into an existing analytics platform.

Is student data protected under FERPA?

Yes. Vitaes is built with FERPA compliance as a foundation. Student data never crosses school boundaries, educators can only see data for their own students, and district licenses include a Data Processing Agreement.

Can a student access Vitaes without a school account?

Yes. The Student plan is available directly at $19.95/month, with a 14-day free trial. Students can sign up with an email address or Google account and start exploring immediately.
